Opopop Company

Opopop in a few dates:

- 2010: The Opopop association is founded

- 2011: Creation of ‘Rosie Rose’.
This show lays the foundations for a poetic universe specific to the company, combining object theatre, interactive scenography and technical tinkering.

- 2012: Production of the technically autonomous version of ‘Rosie Rose’.

- 2013: Creation of ‘Rosie Rose Baby’.
A show for very young children, in which a simple walk in the park turns into a real odyssey.

-2016: creation of ‘Le plus petit Cirk du bord du bout du Monde’ (The smallest circus at the edge of the world).
The company continues its scenographic research, this time with a meteor that will host flying objects, manipulations and juggling from a world far removed from our own.

-2017: creation of the short version of ‘Le plus petit Cirk du bord du bout du Monde’.

-2018: creation of the technically autonomous version of ‘Le plus petit Cirk du bord du bout du Monde’.

-2021: creation of ‘De la Nécessité de la Gravité’ (On the Necessity of Gravity), a poetic fiction for a climate emergency.

-2025: creation of ‘Jongloria Multitaskus’, a conference on the life of the juggling specimen.

In fifteen years, the Opopop company has performed more than 750 times from Dijon to Taiwan, including national stages, subsidised stages, big tops, cinemas, village halls and a circus centre.

KAREN BOURRE

Karen was born on a beautiful winter morning, in front of a Christmas tree.
Do juggling balls grow on Christmas trees? A few years later, and not entirely by chance,
she found herself at Circus Space, the London circus school, and became a juggler.
And then everything fell into place:
